The Name Game
So we're going to have to start thinking about baby names. Not right now (it's still early...), but soon. I thought it would be fun to get our readers' thoughts on this matter. To get the ball rolling, I'll share the couple of ideas we've received from our nephew Owen: Charlie for a boy, and Tyrone for a girl. (We're not entirely sure where he's even heard the name `Tyrone'. let alone how he came up with it for a baby girl.) We thought Tyrone was a funny (in a out-of-the-blue sort of way) suggestion, so Barb and I have taken to periodically referring to the embryo as Tyrone. Anyway, throw your suggestions our way. We can't promise we'll take them to heart, but we thought this would be a fun way to get y'all talking, and see what we come up with...
(P.S. Barb doesn't know that I'm posting this. She'll find out soon enough I'm sure, but I'm not doing this at her behest. So, it this is dorky, the blame rests entirely with me.)

Umm, no it's not dorky. At least not to a mom to be coming from her baby daddy! I think it's sweet. Tyrone is too funny & it's classic that's what you sometimes call the embryo.
John and I have decided on Darcy Scout for our girl.
I'm not revealing our boy name just yet, simply because I'm selfish & love it so. (Besides, we might give it another go in a couple of years!)
Let me think about some of our other considerations, and I'll post another comment for you.
how about jessica for a girl or jesse for a boy? nothing like a good namesake!!
Grace, you could call her Gracie for short.....the meaning of Grace is gift from God :)
Grace/Gracie is very cute. I also like Gertie.
We think that we are having a boy... so maybe think male gender names!!
But keep the girl names coming too
Tyrus David?
Thomas is a cute name for a little boy!
Thomas David!!
Tyrone is from the cartoon the Backyardagins, that is where he probably heard that one!!!
thought i would let ya know! not a show we had when we were toddlers!!
We figured out the Backyardigans thing a few weeks ago (via a friend with kids). But here's a touch of irony regarding Tyrone: our friend Kim was checking out baby names and came across the meaning of Tyrone--Land of Owen! Looks like Owen's a little brighter than we already thought...
