All's Well in A2
Just a quick note to say that the move went well (although the temperature was a little too high for our liking -- try 100F!). All out stuff is in our apartment and we are more or less unpacked and settled. We still need to pick up a few items, e.g. a kitchen table and chairs and a desk, and we still have a few boxes to unpack, but the place is starting to look like someone lives in it.
No pictures to show yet. Those will come in the next few weeks. We just ordered our new computer, which should come in a week or so. We'll probabaly wait until it arrives to post some pics. (Our current one bogs down too frequently to upload pics with any reliability!)
We did get a piece of fantastic new today: not only will the University be covering my health insurance; they'll be covering Barb's as well! This ends up being a big savings for us and gives our tight budget a little breathing room!
Anyway, we'll have more to say in the coming days as we explore our surroundings. Stay tuned.

Hello Dave and Barb!
I thought I would be the first person, at least U.S. citizen, via your blog, to welcome you back to the United States!
So, now that you have loads of extra cash -- you know, that fortune you make as a Graduate couple ;-) -- you should buy me a ticket to fly out to A-squared between November and whenever. In fact, I petitioned UM on your behalf in order for your friends, specifically ME, to come visit, which would involve me sleeping on your couch, watching "netflicks" with Barb while Dave does his "philosophy" thing, going to UM sporting events when Dave is not doing is "philosophy" thing, and venturing into local pubs with you both (except, for whatever reason, I leave mistakenly thinking that I didn't pay the bar tab; damn it). Sounds fun. Let's make this happen.
Seriously, I am elated for you, about the move to A-squared and the health insurance. This is BIG, and let no one tell you otherwise.
