No Grad School Talk from Me!!

All right for all who were missing my updates here it comes! Enough of the grad school talk and rankings, now it's time for the real stuff, the stuff that matters.

I went shopping last week. Can I get an AMEN?

I went with my friends Angela and Amy and Shona (she's from Winnipeg Canada). We left at 8.45am and drove in to Houston to get there for exactly 10.45am. (this was all according to Angela's itinerary). We made a stop at Ikea where I bought 2 wire baskets to hang in our bathroom, and some light bulbs for a lamp Dave and I bought 4 years ago and the bulb burnt out about 3 years ago. Then we went to the Galleria Mall (a huge mall with fancy stores like Kate Spade, Coach, Armani, Tiffany's... you get the picture!) Well they did have some less expensive stores there as well. I bought a jacket from the Gap that is the most cheerful piece of cothing in my closet. It is pink, red, and white. It's kinda rain coat material but not really. Hopefully y'all get to see me in it! It will bring a smile to your face (if you like it or if you are laughing at me!!) I love it and that's all that matters. Dave even liked it! Maybe he liked it because it was almost 50% off. I also bought a cute hat from Anthropology. It's different shades of brown, and it has ear flaps, and a big flower over the left ear. When describing it, it sounds bad but it looks really cute... honest! The girls said that I looked like a flapper girl from the 20's. Dave really liked it too. Again it was 50% off! WOW! Who's the bargin shopper? We ate lunch at a little market and dinner at a sandwich place. The other girls bought lots of stuff too and when we put the bags in the trunk there was room for nothing else!
What a successful trip. Every now and then a girl needs a little Retail Therapy! I have already spotted my next purchase! A turquoise bag from Target!

Well as Dave mentioned in his last post, we went to see STOMP last night! What a great performance. If you have ever seen this show you know what I mean. And if you haven't seen it, GO! You'll love it! Before the show we met for dinner with the WWF (Wilke, Wiens, Faulkners) at a Mexican place called Mi Cocina. It was pretty good. Our favorite Mexican place closed down just before Christmas and we have been looking for a new one. We may have just found it! Anyway I don't know what else to say about STOMP. It was great! And you should go see it if you can!

Oh yeah, when we got the tickets that was before we know the Aggie Basketball schedule, and when Dave found out that STOMP was on the same night as the Aggies vs. Longhorns, let's just say he was a little... disappointed. Well it looks like the game would have been a great one. We were tied, with 3 seconds left and we made a 3 pointer to win the game! How movie-like is that! The crowd rushed the court and had a big celebration! Last year we attended this game with Dave's parents, and the same thing happened. (tight game, we won, and the crowd rushed the court!)

Well I gotta go. We are meeting some friends for dinner and to watch Survivor!
